Meet Dr. Megan Richard
Dr. Megan Richard, D.O. (pronounced "Dr. Ree-shard") is a board-certified Physiatrist (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician) through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She completed medical school and a pre-doctoral fellowship in Osteopathic Manual Medicine at Des Moines University, followed by residency in PM&R at the University of Texas San Antonio. A native Coloradan, she returned home in 2019 to begin practicing.
PM&R training takes a holistic view of the patient—looking beyond a single condition to how functional deficits affect every part of life. It's a natural fit for complex medical cases, and it shapes Dr. Richard's collaborative, team-based approach to care.
She blends her training and passion for manual and myofascial medicine—osteopathic manipulative treatment, dry needling, trigger point injections, cupping, and myofascial scraping—with her broader knowledge and training in PM&R, including joint injections, electrodiagnostics (EMG/NCS), and exercise and lifestyle medicine. This combination allows her to build personalized, integrative plans that meet each patient where they are.
Dr. Richard will start seeing patients with Foundations Physiatry in September 2026. Online appointments coming soon.
